WhatsApp introduces Dual Account log in Feature

WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that allows you to stay connected with your friends and family. However, what’s better than having one WhatsApp account? Of course, it’s having two! Today, we have some exciting news for Android users – you can now have two WhatsApp accounts logged in at the same time. This feature is especially helpful for those who need to switch between accounts, such as work and personal accounts. You no longer need to log out each time, carry two phones or worry about messaging from the wrong place.

To set up a second account, you will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM. Once you have that, simply open your WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to your name, and click “Add account”. You can control your privacy and notification settings on each account.

It’s important to note that only use the official WhatsApp and don’t download imitations or fake versions as a way of getting more accounts on your phone. Your messages are only secure and private when using the official app.

Steps in setting up second account on WhatsApp for android users

To set up a second WhatsApp account on your Android device, you will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM. Once you have that, follow these steps:

You can control your privacy and notification settings on each account.

  • Open WhatsApp.
  • Tap on the Settings cog at the bottom right.
  • Tap on the arrow next to your name.
  • Tap Add account.
  • Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap Agree and Continue to accept the terms.
  • Select your country from the drop-down list to add your country code.
  • Enter your phone number in international phone number format.
  • Tap Done or Next, then tap Ok to receive your 6-digit registration code through SMS or phone call.
  • To complete registration, enter your 6-digit code.
  • In your new profile, enter your name, and then tap Next.
  • You can also add a profile photo and fill in the about field.

On every account, you have control over your notification and privacy settings.

It’s crucial to remember that the only way to gain multiple accounts on your phone is to utilise the genuine WhatsApp app; never download clones or false versions. You can only send private and secure messages using the official app.

Now that you have two WhatsApp accounts on your Android device, feel free to enjoy their ease!
