The call for submissions to the Connected Africa Summit 2024 Innovation Awards has been extended from March 22, 2024, to March 28, 2024. This extension aims to accommodate more innovators from across Africa, enabling them to present their technology-driven solutions ahead of the inaugural Connected Africa Summit 2024, scheduled for April 21st to April 25th, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Submissions are welcome in various sectors including Health, Trade & E-commerce, Smart Cities and Mobilities, Education, Agriculture, Climate Change, Green Technology & Creative Industry. These solutions are expected to be AI-driven at most.
Over the years, the Connected Summit Innovation Awards have honored innovative ICT products and solutions addressing societal challenges.
Under the theme “Shaping the Future of a Connected Africa: Unlocking Growth Beyond Connectivity,” this year’s Summit will address Africa’s ICT priorities guided by the African Union’s (AU) Agenda 2063.
The Forum will assemble African Heads of State & Government, First Ladies, African Ministers responsible for ICT, e-commerce, and the Digital Economy, policymakers, ICT thought leaders & Captains of Industry, Global ICT firms, Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Innovators.
The Summit anticipates over 2,000 delegates and aims to reshape Africa’s ICT sector through policy formulation, investment, and innovation.
These discussions are expected to provide solutions to ICT challenges facing Africa, such as bridging the digital divide, identifying new ICT investment opportunities, and advancing towards a paperless Government.
Moreover, the Summit will serve as a platform for African leaders to shape the African tech agenda in anticipation of the UN Summit of the Future in September 2024 and to determine their role in green technology and governance of generative AI tailored to African realities.
